North and West Coast Wales

We are on the far side of Puffin Island now. The Razorbills and Puffins leave the island in August and come back again the next April to nest again. We spotted a few puffins (see inset) but they are pretty shy and elusive. You can usually recognise them as they are pretty clumsy compared with the other birds but they don't hang around if you come in too close. They have a multi coloured beak which this guy refused to show off to us. Well not when I was taking the photo anyway!
